In diesem Seminar wird das komplexe Wechselverhältnis zwischen Literaturunterricht und historischem Wissen näher beleuchtet. Dazu wird das Seminar in zwei Teile gegliedert: In Teil 1 setzen wir uns anhand der beiden Jugendbücher ‚Dunkelnacht‘ (Kirsten Boie) und ‚Der Junge im gestreiften Pyjama‘ (John Boyne) mit dem Verhältnis von Fiktionalität und historischer Realität in Literatur und ihrer Didaktisierung auseinander. Hier anschließend widmen wir uns im zweiten Teil des Seminars der Didaktik der Literaturgeschichte und reflektieren in diesem Kontext u.a., inwieweit der Einbezug des historischen Kontextes das Verstehen von Literatur aus vergangenen Zeiten fördern, aber ggf. auch behindern kann.
